The schedule is as follows:

Students often master reading the Arabic Quran fluently in Year 1 and begin Quran memorization.

🔶 Yr2 (6–7 yrs old): 2 Juz by the end of the academic year.

🔶 Yr3 (7–8 yrs old): 3 Juz by the end of the academic year.

🔶 Yr5 (9–10 yrs old): 7 Juz by the end of the academic year.

🔶 Yr8 (12–13 yrs old): 25 Juz by the end of the academic year.

🔶 Yr9 (13–14 yrs old): 30 Juz by the end of the academic year.

Many students finish memorizing the Quran as early as Year 6.

After Year 9, students continue revising the Quran daily with a teacher while focusing more heavily on the iGCSE programme during Years 9, 10, and 11.

Quran, Arabic Language, and Islamic Studies continue throughout the secondary years with strong encouragement for students to complete and strengthen their memorization journey.

How do we communicate with parents, staff, and students?

At British Islamic Academy (BIA), we believe that strong communication between the school, parents, staff, and students plays an essential role in supporting student success and development.

To ensure clear and effective communication, BIA uses modern digital platforms that help parents stay informed and actively involved in their child’s educational journey.

🔶 ClassDojo Communication System
We use ClassDojo as our primary school communication platform. Through ClassDojo, parents and students can:

- Receive homework and assignment updates.
- View exam results and academic progress.
- Monitor attendance records.
- Track behaviour points and classroom performance.
- Receive important school announcements and reminders.

This system helps maintain transparency and encourages continuous collaboration between teachers and families.

🔶 WhatsApp Communication
BIA also uses WhatsApp to facilitate quick and effective communication between school staff and parents. This allows the school community to remain connected regarding important updates, student matters, school events, and announcements.

Through these communication systems, British Islamic Academy aims to create a supportive, organised, and well-connected learning environment for all students and families.
